Can the Canadian Dental Care Plan help me?
The CDCP is designed to help Canadian citizens who are low-income and have no access to dental insurance either privately or through an employer. The goal is to improve oral health, which could improve overall physical health and provide an improved quality of life. At Water’s Edge, we submit your CDCP dental claims directly to Sun Life, who administers CDCP.
Eligibility requirements for the CDCP

Have no access to dental insurance coverage through an employer and have no private dental insurance.

Are a Canadian resident and filed your most recent taxes.

Can show a household adjusted net income of under $90,000.

Determine your benefits before your appointment
Our team can help you find out what your benefits include and whether you will need to pay a co-payment.

Bring your documents to your appointment
It is always good to keep your CDCP member care with you when you come to the clinic. Bring any other related documents sent by SunLife also as we may need information from those regarding your case.

Submitting a claim
Our staff submits claims to Sun Life for you. There is a possibility of a co-payment for any services not supported by the CDCP. We will notify you of those charges prior to any procedure.
