At Water’s Edge Dental, we welcome insured and non-insured patients. We also provide care for individuals eligible for government programs like the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP).
Our team can review coverage, discuss payment options, and explain what to expect before treatment. Whether you have private insurance, government assistance, or prefer to pay directly, our goal is to ensure you understand your dental care options.
WATER’S EDGE DENTAL AND INSURANCE BILLING
At Water’s Edge Dental, we aim to make insurance billing as straightforward as possible. Our team works with many insurance providers and may be able to submit claims directly on your behalf, depending on your plan.
Whenever possible, we request pre-authorization, so patients have a clearer understanding of what their insurance plan may cover and what their portion of the cost may be. Before treatment begins, we provide an estimate outlining expected fees and any co-payments. Coverage and payment policies vary by provider, but our staff is happy to help guide you through the process and answer any questions.

The Government of Canada recently launched a new program for eligible Canadian residents who do not have access to dental insurance.

Healthy Smiles Ontario
Healthy Smiles Ontario is a free dental program for eligible children and youth 17 and under.
IFHP
Interim Federal Health Program
The IFHP is a program designed by the Government of Canada to help refugees access basic medical needs and cover essential dental services.
ODSP
Ontario Disability Support Program
The program provides income support including health and other benefits for people with disabilities in financial need.
