Studies and years of experience demonstrate that fluoride treatments are effective in preventive dentistry.

Fluoride treatments are done after your routine teeth cleaning so it’s added to a party your routine exam and cleaning. It must be done on clean teeth and adding it after your cleaning is a comfortable way to end your dental visit.

Applying fluoride only takes a few minutes. We do it one of two ways:

Aftercare is simple where you don’t eat or drink anything for a half-hour but we will have other instructions to give you after your visit. Your teeth will absorb the fluoride over time.
Anyone can get a fluoride treatment but it is particularly good for those who have:
a history of cavities
gum disease or gum recession
dry mouth (xerostomia) with reduced saliva
crowns, bridges or braces
